Portrait I did for my lovely (almost) sister-in-law patchworksaiyan of her beautiful baby "Sunny"! He is literally the horse equivalent of Dug from UP, it's precious. And slobbery. xD
This was copied from a photograph she has of him but was ultimately drawn completely freehand in a variety of B-grade Graphite pencils. :3 Completed over several days (I'm so bad at diligent time-keeping with my art, so that's as specific as I can be...) Actually quite proud of myself because I didn't even use the grid method and THAT BRIDLE WAS A BIG PAIN IN THE BUM. But I did iiiiiit
I don't do realism too often but this was a really wonderful practice and a wonderful subject.

IT'S SO FREAKING BEAUTIFUL!!!! MY COMPUTER SCREEN IS VOMITING OUT ALL THE COLORS OF THE RAINBOW (or black and white, consider this is done in graphite....)
No, but in all seriousness: THIS IS FREAKING BEAUTIFUL !!!! For like a split second, I actually thought this was a legit black and white picture you took! The details in it are striking and and the shading is gooooood! Ugh....I would so put this on a frame if I were you. Frames make any picture three times better c:
